About
From my earliest memories, I've had compulsive curiosity about how things work, how our minds operate, and the nature of reality. Drawn to scientific explanation, I studied chemistry at Boston University and Georgetown University before getting an MBA at Cornell University. Life has taken me in many directions beyond academia. Careers and interests have extended into broad sections of society. I was a Boston cabbie, hitchhiked across the United States, worked at the US Environmental Protection Agency, delved into the human potential movement, was a commercial real estate broker, and more recently taught high school chemistry. Interests besides writing include hiking, piano, extreme gardening, carpentry, travel, and my family. We live outside of Washington, DC.
One of my favorite activities is saving our local ecosystems from the invasive plants such as kudzu and Japanese knotweed which are destroying them. Our group of 180 volunteers is at https://www.treefriendsunited.com/
